What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is an altered state of awareness which allows access to the subconscious mind.
The best way to view hypnosis is a state of intense relaxation and concentration in which your mind becomes remote and detached from every day cares and concerns. In this relaxed state the subconscious part of the mind is best able to respond creatively to suggestion and imagery. It can focus on the things you wish to change and on the ways you can best do that free from Anxiety or analytical thoughts.

Everyone has experienced trance there are many natural states of trance daydreaming is a light trance state. We tend to go into daydream every one and half to two hours throughout the day, Although we may not be consciously aware of it because it is so natural. When you are familiar with driving a specific route in the car, You can often arrive at your destination with very little conscious memory of the journey this is a natural trance.
Interesting phenomena of hypnosis is time distortion. You can often be pleasantly surprised by how much time has passed when you are in the state of mind. This is because our perception of time can distort in trance. In fact a person can be put into a trance and have the experienced of reading a whole book within minutes. In real time this would be impossible using standard reading techniques .
You may notice some slight muscle spasm or rapid eye movement. This is perfectly normal during hypnosis. You are in control at all times and you can terminate the session immediately should you wish to do so.
